CLS is currently going through an unprecedented and exciting period of growth and development and is now looking for a committed and motivated Laboratory Administrator to join our team.
This role is based at our site in Ros Muc, Co. Galway H91 YK81.
Job Title: Laboratory Administrator .
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all chain of custody forms are accounted for and match samples received.
- Correct tests are logged in under correct client.
- Samples are labelled with clear ID, LIMS numbers and dates.
- Reporting to include creating final reports, sense check the reports, sending the reports to customers by e-mail, informing customers if there is a delay on results being reported.
- Dealing with client queries by e-mails and telephone calls.
- Subcontracting of samples with the appropriate amount of sample, package the samples for transportation.
- Follow up with subcontractors to ensure that results are received, entering/ validating subcontractor results and monitoring production sheets for outstanding subcontracted tests.
- Responding to and organising bottle requests for dispatch to clients.
- Monitoring of reports due and liaising with laboratory ensuring reporting turnaround times.
- Support the laboratory supervisor as required.
- Compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, INAB requirements and CLS internal quality and technical procedures.
- Attending regular laboratory meetings
- Availability for on call/weekend (pre-scheduled dates)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educated to Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of IT systems (MS Office), data management and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Microbiology & Environmental laboratory testing desirable but not essential.
