Evelyn O’Toole from CLS has been shortlisted for the 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme along with fellow Galway Business People Daithi O’Connor (co-founder of Revive-Active) and Jim Burke (founder of GoBus.ie).

Evelyn O’Toole is a native of Clifden and is the founder and CEO of Complete Laboratory Solutions, who are based on the Tuam Road in Galway city.

Speaking about her nomination, Evelyn said:

“I am delighted to have been shortlisted for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award and will relish the opportunity to work with EY over the next ten months.

The theme this year is ‘Leading through Change’, which is ideal for me. I embrace change and see it as a piece necessary to protect sustainability. Right now this theme is perfectly timed in light of BREXIT and US leadership changes, in particular, examining relationships, strategies, readiness, and opportunities.

I am particularly excited to meet and work with the other 23 finalists – many iconic brands and great leaders. I am also very proud to see the West of Ireland being well represented.”

After rigorous judging, 24 finalists have been nominated in three categories of Emerging, Industry, and International. EOY offers the finalists that take part in the 10-month development programme mentoring, executive education, and an international CEO Retreat to San Francisco later this month.

The winners will be announced at the televised Awards Gala night in October 2017 and the overall winner will go on to represent Ireland at World Entrepreneur of The Year in Monaco in June 2017.
