We are delighted to highlight that our CEO and Founder, Evelyn O’Toole was presented with the Galway Science and Technology Festival Outstanding Achievement Award recently.

It’s great for these children to foresee a future where they can study their choice subjects in Galway and progress on to valuable and satisfying employment locally with a great quality of life, staying in their own community,’
The winners of the best primary school exhibit went to Gaelscoil Riada, Athenry and the best secondary school exhibit went to Davitt College, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Presentation College Athenry won the Technology & Mathematics category and Soil Íde, Salthill was awarded best in the Physics & Chemistry category and the prize for Life Sciences category went to St. Theresa’s NS, Cashel, Connemara. The judging panel agreed that the standard of the entries was very impressive and commented on how much they had enjoyed discussing the projects with the students.
The Galway Science and Technology Exhibition
The Galway Technology Festival celebrated 20 years of showcasing Galway as a city of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths this year. The collaboration between local industry, local education and government agencies has helped the Festival and Exhibition to grow to become the success that it is today. During the two-week Festival in November over 30 science and technology shows and workshops are brought to over 150 schools throughout Galway city and county – helping students to engage with STEM in a meaningful and exciting way. The exhibition took place in NUI Galway and families spent the day immersed in all things relating to STEM, learning about the world around them and what an exciting career in these fields would entail.
