A native of Galway, Derek joined CLS in 2023 bringing a wealth of knowledge in strategic business leadership from work in global markets spanning Australia, America and the UK, managing geographically dispersed teams.
In his role, Derek leads the CLS Outsourcing Solutions Division with a focus on advancing service delivery and innovation, offering a range of tailored resource solutions. This renowned CLS service provides clients with fully trained analysts, laboratory supports and expert managed service teams as a flexible and bespoke resource solution at client sites.
Combining technical and commercial excellence to advance client partnerships across MedTech, Pharmaceutical, Environment and Food, he works with a diverse team to provide bespoke solutions to national and multinational companies.
Derek holds a Bachelor Degree of Science, Manufacturing Technology from ATU and a Bachelor Degree of Engineering, Product Design from Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP).
